Bed bolt holes rounded out.
As it says they are rounded out and not sure what to do when going back together. I had to cut them off with a cut off wheel from underneath to get the bed off. One of the bolts had a phillips screwdriver slot built into the head of the bolt. These bolts only had 3/8 of a square shoulder to it where as my K10 had long square shoulders on them. I am not sure what or how to tighten the bed back down and it look correct. Any ideas?

Re: Bed bolt holes rounded out.
You could just use normal hex head bolts the same length, the downside to that you will have the head of the bolt in the bed, something to stub your toe on.

Re: Bed bolt holes rounded out.
yeah, i rounded out 1 (thank christ!) when i took off my bed. it was a little time consuming but i built up the hole with my mig, then spent a while with a couple of chainsaw files to square it out. with Line-x on top, it's just like new. also picked up bolt kit from Classicparts for under $20

Re: Bed bolt holes rounded out.
You can get square hole washers. Weld those to the bed.

Re: Bed bolt holes rounded out.
Drop a new bolt in and give it a single little tack weld.

Re: Bed bolt holes rounded out.
I might have to look into that option. I need to figure out something before I paint the bed. Welding the washer to the top of the bed shouldn't be that bad but will raise the bolt up a bit.

Re: Bed bolt holes rounded out.
I would do what Tx firefighter said. Although I would try and dolly the bent metal back into position prior to the welding. Are you doing paint on the entire bed? Or would you be spraying a bedliner in? If you were going the bedliner route, just weld in after everything else is painted.
