Confirm this is a Deluxe Heater.....

Hello All can you please confirm this is a Deluxe heater? Its from my buddy's 55. In one of the pics you can see a copper coil that is on the partitioning valve that is hanging loose. Can you tell me where this goes? I dont intend to use the Deluxe heater switch, I will just have a simple switch for the fan unit and I plan to remove the control cables. I assume then I should manually open the partitioning valve and keep it there? If Im going to run the deluxe box as if it were standard (as I described above), should I just keep the block off plate on the pass side lower cowl (above the grill) or should I remove it and attach the fan unit with the fresh air connection. Im assuming I shouldnt do this but just confirming.....


ALso, see the pic of my firewall, which holes do you use for the heater hoses?

I'm not seeing much in those photos. If the Task Force trucks are like the AD trucks the Deluxe heaters have a fresh air inlet while the standard heaters are more like a box on the inside of the firewall. I think the other key is the controls themselves.

This is referred to as a recirculating heater as it recirculates the air in the cab and doesn't bring in fresh air from the outside though the cowl grill.
