Unhappy What did i break?....

i have just finished my inline 6 to 350 swapi used my old 3 on the tree transmission but i converted it using the hurst mastershifter and the instalation kit and it always gave me problems but anyways im pulling out of my driveway and give it 3/4 throttle and shift into 2nd and let out of the clutch and everything starts grinding and jerking really bad. now everytime i try to move it it moves but it jerks and grinds in every gear...

Re: What did i break?....

It sounds like your shifter linkage is all out of adjustment and your not fully engaged into each gear to much slop in the linkages maybe?

it went in every gear fine before though i can put it in every gear and move it around but once you get over 5mph it starts grinding and jerking.

Re: What did i break?....

Sounds like you need to check that though just because it worked before doesn't mean it works now... You said you have had problems with the shifter before so it's a starting point and also check your trans mount see if it's still attached could be another issue

Re: What did i break?....

well, it turned out my transmission pretty much fell apart on the inside. put another transmission in and the shifter and everything works perfect.
