67-8 Flexible brake line hose, bagged truck

I went to Summit the other day and was speaking with one of the reps. We ended up getting SS brake line hoses and fittings however they were not specific for the truck. It takes the existing fittings (hard line and caliper and changes them to -4 an. Then the lines themselves are -4 an Lines. The problem is it appears that upon turning the lines will rub the bags... not a good thing.

So I need to take these back but wondering what you guys have used. I know some years have the hard line tab on the front of the crossmember however mine are on the rear. Part numbers would be awesome.

I've never set up a bagged truck. But do you need a longer than stock rear brake line? I got a stock rear brake line from the local parts store. If I wanted braided SS, they had those too. Direct bolt in.

Did you try Inline Tube, or one of the other aftermarket brake line manufacturers?

i would think if you have a tab on the back but need one on the front it would make sence to move it or hire a fabricator to do it

Instead of keeping the flex line in the traditional location, why not get a regular SS flex line and move it to the front of the trailing arm. Then run hard lines back from that point to the axle and split it off to each wheel cylinder.
Perhaps stop following traditional thinking, check off road applications. A rock crawler has large amount of travel in the suspension. 4-6 inches of up travel is really what you're looking at.

Not sure I follow. Whats the difference between running the hard line there as opposed to a flex line from the frame. Seems like a lot more work for the exact same thing and you still end up using the same parts.

Perhaps I need my DD to drive to work tomorrow so traditional thinking will get it done today.

I thought you had a problem with the length of the rear flex line, not being long enough.
I ran stock lines when I lowered mine and limited the upward travel.

By "traditional thinking" I met stock. Not trying to offend anyone. I'm sorry if I did.

No no, not at all. I just needed the part number for the hose itself to make sure I had the right one. I didn't mean to sound so rude, I bought and installed all new shoes, drums and hardware, (which did need to be replaced anyway), but the hose seems to be the one thing keeping my brakes from working properly...

I can definitely see how running the line up the trailing arm first would help give some more freedom to the flex line in a lowered or raised application. Mine is pretty stock suspension wise though haha

I bought part number H36959 from Advance yesterday, but can't put it on until later tonight. Don't see why it wouldn't work and it looks right but I'll be sure to let you guys know.
