long bed to shortbed conversion

I was wondering if any of you know how difficult it would be to convert a long bed to a stepside? I have a 69 C 20 and want to convert it to a short stepside

Re: long bed to shortbed conversion

Even if you shorten it, now you've got a 3/4 ton suspension on a short bed, which might not ride too well.

Find a long stepside bed? Other than that the conversion is pretty straightforward and if you can weld decent you should have no problems. Just search longbed to shortbed conversion. It's your truck, do with it as YOU like.
