Well, sorry man. That hurts, no matter how much you try to tell yourself otherwise.

So, did you just not really like this gal all along (so you didn't really care if you paid any attention to her), or did you just get caught being a jerk and she left? It's a juggling act, man. With the next gal (or if you patch it up with her), try to involve her in the truck here and there. Take her on rides. Go camping in the truck. Tell her about the truck.

Oh, man. Ain't that the truth. They can be the most nonsensical, emotional, temperamental, and flat out crazy beings you will ever encounter. If it weren't for men's need for sex and clean laundry, the human race would have ground down to extinction centuries ago lmfao.

That being said, us guys can help our chances of not having too many flare ups over our trucks with our women by keeping the plates spinning.

LWB trucks rule, if you don't think so measure your SWB!
After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.

Re: Lost her cause of her ...

Well, i went down this road, and my wife left, because i spent to much time buying cars and parts, and when i get ugly about something that didn't go right with the cars i was a real ass to be around. She left, i got 50/50 custody of the kids. Now i have a very small vehicle budget, and a new found respect for women. My new GF doesn't care if i work on cars, or what i buy, as long as i respect her, friday night is date night, and ive never been happier.
So the trick is, respect them, they will respect you. Its worked for me for 5 years now, and i've bought alot of stuff. lol

Hey boys! Y'all gotta remember that all women are not the same. I'm not gonna toot anyones horn here, but I will say that a little respect goes a long ways, and that respect has to go BOTH ways. When it's nice out, I am many times out working on my truck. When its not really nice out, my husband usually plays stalker or some other game. We each have our own addictions, and spend time on them. But we respect each others time and hobby (or sickness)

I think the simple answer is find a chick that digs trucks. LOL. Or in my case one that wants you to have a truck so she has an excuse to shop a little. She's right though. Treat her right and respect her and you can have your toys (Truck and a Vette)

Re: Lost her cause of her ...

I know we complain about our women not liking trucks, not wanting us to spend money on them, etc, but if you want a real relationship to work you HAVE to spend time and money on them. Have to, or you're going to fail every time. Is it nice to find a girl that likes trucks? Sure, but that's still not a guarantee for a successful relationship. One day when you're gone, your truck won't miss you, the people you created relationships with and spent time with are the ones that will.

I don't blame her. If there IS one thing I understand about women is that they want us around. It doesn't matter if you're talking, watching TV, or just in the same room.

Do I spend a lot of my time on my hobby, you bet your ass. Do I spend all of it? Hell no. I know that when friday and saturday nights come around (bout 6 or 7ish) it's date time. After church on sunday, it's fair game for lawn work, sports, or cars for the rest of the day.

Re: Lost her cause of her ...

I put up with lots of crap about my hot rods and trucks the 14 years I was married to my first wife. I lost a '71 El Camino SS, a '67 C10, and '79 K2500 during that hellish period in my life.

Got divorced, and it took me 9 years to finally find a woman that loves this hobby as much as I do. My wife now is like a dream come true. A while back, I was thinking of selling the '72 GMC I have right now. She about flipped her lid when I told her I was selling it. "No way will you sell that truck. We have too much fun with it." Whenever I day dream a little about what I want to do with the truck, or what I want to buy next... she's all for it.

So trust me... they are out there.

Gary

The biggest thing is to understand the truck ant the main thing in life. Your wife kids girlfriends are first always. Weather she is into trucks, cars, airplanes doesn't matter as long as you make sure they are first weather it's respect are whatever just make sure they are first in your life that's why you call them your wife, girlfriend, husband, boyfriend, son, daughter whatever.
It's a know fact we can't live without them no matter what you think.
As long as they know they are more important than the vehicle!

Ok here is my 2 cents lil Bro. I feel that she is being a lil over board about your truck. But i'm not going to trash her because you still love her. She just needs to understand that your not with another women.
