oil filter access with headers ????

I have these headers from summit racing and was wondering if the oil filter access is still going to be ok.It looks pretty tight in there.Has anyone had a problem with this when installing long tube headers????

i have long tubes on mine and its tight but i can still access my oil filter.

Ceramic coated headers require a special break in routine. This routine doesn't match the proper break in of a new engine. Might wanna add these later after engine/cam break in.

I put my ceramic headers on a long time ago and have had no issue with the break in, since the engine and the headers went in together.

If you "properly" broke in your engine, then those temps will cause damage to the header coating, that will break down over time versus properly breaking in the headers thru heat cycles. It clearly states in the header instructions not to use during engine break in and it voids the header warranty.

I read the Headman warning against using them on a non-broken in engine. I ended up still throwing them on the new engine for break in and broke it in at 2500 for 25 minutes. So far everything is fine. It was a cool day in Texas though (50ish degrees) so I don't know if that makes a difference.

I did what I have always done, I did the original startup and set the RPMs for approximately 30 minutes to initially set the cam, however with a roller cam, there is less of a concern as it would be with a flat tappet one. I then drove the truck with a ight foot for the next 500 miles and from then on, it was short periods of heavy acceleration followed by a light foot cool down period. The headers were put on the truck in 1996 and they still have their finish, today. Maybe they will break down someday.

I have ran headers in many different vehicles/styles/and configs , never have had filter access issues.
