If adding miles makes it better than when it left the factory, mine should be worth three times what that one is!

I never understand 10" front wheels on these trucks...makes them Look like a go kart most of the time.

Re: 87 with 44K miles....Atlanta area.
I don't think I could sell it if it was mine. They have to be fishing but here in the south nice trucks are not cheap. That is a show truck IMO. But think about this, if it was your truck and you put it up for sale what would you want for it? Also , at that price it keeps the idiots from contacting them. You kind of have to do that with Craigslist around here.

Re: 87 with 44K miles....Atlanta area.
I gave just a little under $14k for my loaded red on red '86 swb brand new in 1986.
4 years later it was worth about $7k. It was a twin to this one. Wish I still had it. To me,... it might be a $10k truck.

Re: 87 with 44K miles....Atlanta area.
No way on gods green earth is that truck worth 15k. I could see a 73, 74 with 44k miles and asking 15 for it. Trucks that nice are everywhere in texas for half that.

If he gets $15,000 for that I guarantee mine will be for sale the next morning.

Re: 87 with 44K miles....Atlanta area.
First of all, bad wording. I mean how is a truck with original paint better than showroom fresh?
Second, he needs better photos to list it with. |

Re: 87 with 44K miles....Atlanta area.
I agree it is no way worth the asking price but you have to remember 1987 is the "Holy Grail" of the block bodies and people who know that know they can ask stupid money for them. It doesnt mean they will get it.

I mean, I certainly agree with you (....ahem....) but I would think some folks might prefer the newer front end of the 88 - 91 R/V trucks, or earlier round headlights of the '73-80's, etc. K

For a fun truck I would much rather have a round eye with low miles and add FI after the fact. Oh wait, I have that already...

Re: 87 with 44K miles....Atlanta area.
Not judging, just stating a fact. The price they demand says it all and the throttle body 5.7 was certainly the best engine GM has produced in a LONG TIME. Price a nice original 73, 78 87 or 89 and the 87 will be the highest. I like them all and have owned them all. I have a pre 80 and an 89 currently.

It's a nice truck, I couldn't justify 15 for it, though.

If both tanks are filled with gas, I might consider $15,000...
