Ok, last kingpin question

Went to put the passenger's side together last night and had two questions when I walked away:
1. ) The thrust bearing goes on top of the bottom part of the spindle, or in between the lower part of the spindle & the axle, correct? I pulled a rookie mistake and tore down both sides at once.
2. ) When grease is pumped into the zerk, it should flow through the ends of the bushings if everything is aligned correctly, right? The top will do this, the bottom - the bushing gets pushed out, or grease comes out through the thrust bearing. Can't seem to get it aligned so the grease flows through the end of the bushing.

Any advice for a first-timer?

Correct, top of the bottom part of spindle. If the bushings fit so loose in the spindle that grease makes them come out, I think you have a problem, worn out spindle or wrong bushing. I'd be very wary of a bushing that didn't take a fair amount of pressure to press in. The only ones I've ever seen that didn't press were made of nylon and only saw them for the twin I beam Fords.

Yeah, I'm kind of suspicious as well. Things don't just drop in to place & once the pin is in there's no play in it, but I might just box up the parts & find oversized pins / somebody to ream things to fit.
