Reanodizing aluminum headlight bezels

Got lucky this weekend at the Charlotte speedway swapmeet and bought me a near NOS aluminum grill for my 1966 c-10. Now I need some new looking bezels to go with it. I have a pair of old aluminum ones that are very straight but need to be reanodized. Does anyone have any experience with a good company who has had this done?

These are getting to be rare parts and I don't want to risk my parts to an unknown company. What are my options.

Re: Reanodizing aluminum headlight bezels

Can actually be done fairly easy at home for small parts. You will need Ritz fabric dye, 6 or 12 volt battery, nitric acid and sulfuric acid. Read a really good DIY article online a few months back when I debated that over polishing my 63 aluminu grill. "Anodizing aluminum is putting a colored coating on the aluminum with electricity and water. The process charges the molecules in the aluminum so they attract the color from the water. Rit fabric dye works the best for color concentration and deep coloring on the aluminum. A 6 or 12 volt battery charger is required. It is the most expensive item needed to anodizeing aluminum at home. The process requires that the battery is grounded. This prevents electrical shock when anodizing."
