Another Drum To Disc Conversion question

I have a 68 TRUCK I wanna use a 73-87 drop Spindle. Can I Just Use Upper And Lower Ball Joints from a 73-87 or does the tie rod gotta be changed too?

Easier to use 63-70 conversion drop spindles.
Same price as 71-72 and 73-87 drop spindles.

You would use the 73-87 tie rod too but would have to get a conversion sleeve that will connect that to the 68 inner tie rod

That's a common mistake.
The conversion tie rod sleeves don't connect to the '68 inner tie rod.
Because the 63-70 inner tie rods have the wrong thread pitch. (RH thread)

Your new 73-87 outer tie rod is ALSO right hand thread.
So you have to intall a '68 outer tie rod in the INNER location,,... to use these sleeves.
The other option is to use ALL of the 73-87 steering linkage.

Like I said,... the easiest option is to buy 63-70 conversion spindles.
No balljoint change or tie rod change.
$229 every day.

My cpp modular spindles came with 73-87 upper and lower ball joints and also new inner and outer tie rod ends and sleeve adjusters

Yes this is a kit they continue to sell.
Totally unneccessary to change all of that stuff anymore,...
