1954 doors

I just picked up a pair of doors last night and wasn't paying attention when I bought them. All i looked at was they had wing windows and that's it. After Igot home I looked at the door handles and noticed they were off of a 54 or a 55 1st. I am wanting the older style door handlesfor my project. My question is can you put the older style door handles on these doors? Or do I need to find different doors?

Re: 1954 doors

I think 1951 is the only year that had the vent windows and the turn-down door handles. With my limited knowledge, it seems like swapping would be a fairly involved project.

Re: 1954 doors

I don't think you can very easy. The push button doors have a different latch than the turn down handles and I 'm pretty sure that they won't work together. I'm trying to remember between all my outfits but I don't think that the handles will interchange on the different doors either.
