Size of stock ram horn manifolds?

I am wondering what the size is of the stock ram horn manifold? I am thinking 2"? Is this correct? I want to run 2 1/2 exhaust and have the stock ram horn manifold. Will the 2 1/2 exhaust fit in these or will the pipe need to be increased when it comes out of the manifold to the new 2 1/2 exhaust? Thanks

2" is the stock size. You will have to have an adapter to go from 2" to 2 1/2".

Ramhorns with 2 1/2" outlets are available.

Do they make the 2 1/2 ram horns with the angle outlet or just the straight down outlet?

Re: Size of stock ram horn manifolds?

Only straight down. This was used on the 64 HiPo Corvettes. Even the later Corvettes used a 2" outlet and adapted up to 2 1/2" on the later ones that had the optional bigger pipes.

Another option for 2 1/2" straight down is 84-91 Corvette is a tubular shorty header and the 92-96 Corvette LT1 has a 2 1/2" outlet center dump cast manifold. If you buy LT1 ones, be sure to remove the cover before buying. They are prone to crack under the cover.
