Anyone do body work near Omaha, nebraska or Council Bluffs, Iowa? Looking for some bodywork and paint for my 1970 gmc jimmy.. Several of the local body shops will only do collision work and don't want to touch the old stuff.

If you can't shop up there, bring to K. C. The shop that did mine will do it.

Trying to find someone local, but may have to travel. Would like to find sometime to do on the side even if possible to keep costs down.

also know some guys down here in kearney that do good work, if you're interested ill get their number for you

Did you by any chance try you local Craigslist ads? Look in the Services section under Automotive and search BODY.....you will find some guys with decent reputation near you and will work on the side. Thats how I found my painter here to do full cars in the past. most of them will have pictures to show you their work.
I look ahead of time for you and saw at least 5 that do restoration work.

There is an AWESOME guy in Griswold, Ia I believe. I'm so sorry I don't remember his name, he worked at a local dealership (Ford?)and builds some killer cars. ( a ton of Tri 5's) he does the modern stuff during the day but he works on the old stuff on the side nights and weekends. Maybe hop on the HAMB board and ask there.

i know a guy in atlantic iowa that will most likely do it, he is also on here but i cant think of his screen name to save my life, let me know if you are interested and i can get you his contact info
