Info. Please

Ok here are my questions. I'm getting thrown around by my truck here.

1. Vin says its a 1/2 ton, and it has 6 lug axles. So then did all the 1/2 tons come with 5 or 6 lug?

2. It has C20 badges on it, given info from the vin I'm sure its a C10. Its 2WD and coil suspension so were leafs an option with these trucks back then?

3. I keep thinkin its a C20 cuz its got a 292 in it and I thought that GM put the 292's in the C20's and up?

I'm sure I'm wrong about some things. Just need some info cuz I'm gonna start putting some money in this thing so I wanna buy the right stuff.

1. Half tons were 6 lug up until 71, when they started doing front disc brakes.
2. leafs were an option on our trucks. From what I have found coils were standard

Cant help with the 292 issue. but does it have the appearance or you have knowledge that the front clip or cab have been changed out?

From what I know, the 292 was available in pretty much any level truck. C-20 would be an 8 lug wheel.

Leaves were an option on C-10's.

Sounds to me like somebody swapped badges, or possibly fenders on your truck.

Yea I was kinda thinkin that the fenders could have been swapped. And the cab is a 67 small window. So more or less I'm pretty sure its a C10. Gonna have to change those baddges.

This is easy.
Coils were std on both C10 and C20.
If it is an uncut swb frame it is a C10.
If it was cut then measure the frame.
C10 127 6.04" height 2.53" flange width 0.156" thick 2.98 section modulus

C20 127 6.11" height 2.46" flange width 0.194" thick 3.71 section modulus

292 engines were optional for a C10 in 67.
The engine codes were the same for all the variations and did not differentiate series (C10-30).
