Speedo cable removal / annoying noise
Something in my dash makes makes a very annoying sound at a certain mph and I going to start with the cable.
Is it necessary for me to remove the dash? I can get my hand up behind the dash, and it feels like there is a metal clip or something holding in place. Just wondering if there is more to removing it than just reaching behind the dash. Posted via Mobile Device |

Re: Speedo cable removal / annoying noise
Push the clip toward you and tug the cable and it will slide right out. No dash removal needed.

Re: Speedo cable removal / annoying noise
Well I completely removed the cable from the truck and I still heard the noise behind the dash! What else back the could possibly make a vibrating / buzzing noise?

Re: Speedo cable removal / annoying noise
It's the cable itself seizing on the inside.....need a new cable. At least that's what happened with mine.

That's what I thought, I completely removed the cable, and the noise is still there!

Re: Speedo cable removal / annoying noise
Oops sorry. Guess I didn't read that last post close enough. That's crap...can't think of what it could be off the top of my head. Speedo cable was the only thing I could think of. Hope you figure it out.
