Water pump question.
A little bit back I put a new water pump on the 71 402. I purchased it from oreillys. They were out of the exact one for my truck so the guy offered me one for a 69 corvette 427. I've installed it and everything matches fine. I have not ran it since the motor is now out but I'm just worrying that its the wrong rotation or something. Does anybody know it it will be fine or if I just messed up and have to order the exact one for the 402.

Re: Water pump question.
no problems at all. rotation only changes when they switched over to Serpentine. If the inlet and outlet are lining up for you and your heater core lines are there.....you will have no problem.
