Price check
Found a clean 72 lwb for sale, been repainted, rust repaired, nice interior, mostly original except seat. 350/ turbo 350 auto, ps, pb, factory ac( not working), gauges and lights work, tagged and inspected, etc. I can get for 7k. Is that a good price for a lwb? Was really wanting a swb but can't find anything worth the money. Thinking about converting it to a swb if I can find a decent bed"""

Pics would be great. Its only worth $7k if you really like it. Check under the truck for potential REAL rust!! Dont take a magnet to the paint or knock on panels to determine bondo amounts, that will just piss the seller off and you wont be able to haggle.
Crawl under and look at cab supports and cab floor and I strongly suggest you lay down to look at the underside of the core support. If this is rusted you will hours of tear down to replace it. While you are under there, you will be able to see how much if any fluid leaks it may have had in the past.....this could be a motor or trans heads up. |
