Cluster question

Was reworking my factory 67 dash cluster today and opening it up some black rubber pegs (6) fell out. Look like little tootsie rolls. Anyone have any idea where they fit in and what there purpose is?
Thanks

Re: Cluster question

Sounds like the cushions that go just between the lens and the housing. I think 6 is correct.

Re: Cluster question

Most likely they are pretty hard by now.

The are supposed to be nice and soft to reduce rattles. The repros are kind of like a neoprene material.

Most of the catalog places will have them.
