Install headers before or after

Just curious what most do. Swapping in a new motor and tranny into my 87. Should I install headers before or install them after I get the motor and tranny back in the truck?

After is my vote. Drop in your engine and trans, bolt up headers, well up exhaust, all is done.

Re: Install headers before or after

After, will likely have to snake them in from underneath...but pretty simple and easy to do.

Re: Install headers before or after

Ive done both. It is a little easier to get the engine in with them off.
