Hood latch release
Putting in a billet grill, won't be able to release the hood latch. I know I can run a down rod behind the grill and bumper and attach it to the release, but don't really want to drill a hole in the latch. Was wondering if any of you have a different idea for this? Any help would be appreciated.

Re: Hood latch release
I wish I could draw a picture and down load it. You can do this using existing holes and not modify anything and have a set up that pushs the latch up with out being attatched to it.
If you think about the rod being supported by some type of bracket that will let it slide up and down and drill a hole in the rod for a clevis pin, so it cannot slide down to far. You could also put a spring in place so the rod does not rattle. I can see it clearly in my head but that probably does not help you too much. |

Tbone, I kind of see what you mean. I guess I need to stare at it for a while.....
I know a lot of members have had to deal with this issue. Trying not to invent the wheel. Lol |

Re: Hood latch release
Mine already has a hole in it. Just thread a rod in it. Go down bhind the bumper and put an L bend in it. The latch has to go up to open. Not sure how a rope would do that.
