Quick question on tire size.....

I'm about to go drop some money on a set of Bfgoodrich radial t/a's. I currently have them in 255/70/15 I want to keep that size on the back and change to a smaller sidewall on the front. The next down in a t/a tire is 255/60/15. How tall is that from tread to tread. I don't want to spend a bunch of money and not be happy with it. Thanks in advance. Billy

27.047244 inches diameter. The 255/70's are 29.055118 inches. So you would have approximately 2" difference between the two.

This is how you figure it out:
255 X .6 = 153 X 2 = 306 / 25.4 = 12.047244 + 15 = 27.047244"

Summit lists the diameter of all the bfg ta's. diameter can vary between manufacturers even in the same size.
