Things to do before aligning front end?

Hi all,

I'm currently replacing my steering and suspension on my front end (tie rods, tie rod sleeves, ball joints, pitman arm, idler arm, shocks and springs).

Do I need to do much more than make sure wheels are facing as forward as I can get them before taking the truck for alignment?

Also, it seems like the spindle shaft is pointing more upward than it did before I did the ball joints (although my imagination can get the best of me at times).

Thanks everyone,

Jeff

Do you have any pics of your rebuilt suspension?

Re: Things to do before aligning front end?

I called the guy that will be aligning it for me after the swap to the new frame is done and he was more than happy to give me pointers to make his job easier.

All I can really add is that I'd love to have a nice long talk with the inventors of ball joints and rivets.

Thanks,

Jeff
