What did you end up doing?

Ok I tryed the search funtion but couldn't find what I was looking for. I was wondering what everyone was doing for your E-brake? I thought about using the set up from a S10 but it just hangs much to low below the dash. So if you could post a picture and tell me what it was from, That would be awesome and maybe help me solve my problem.

Thank you everyone, for your help.

Nothing right now, and yes, I do plan to add one. Since my seat situation has finally been decided (62 4-door Jag front buckets), I'll probably end up using a garden variety center mounted piece.

Re: What did you end up doing?

The S10 frames run the brake lines up the driver's side, so a center floor mount is hard to adapt. Trust me I tried, and everything is in the way of running the cables. I ended up using a hand operated lokar under dash handle, which allows you some flexibility in mounting.

Re: What did you end up doing?

All my trucks have the stock E brake and Control Cables Inc. has made all the rear cables for the different rear axels, works great!

I'm using a Lokar setup.

Re: What did you end up doing?

I used Lokar also, in spite of their annoiances. They have everything to make it work, it just costs money. I mounted mine at an angle on the floor for a kind of old time look. Had to do some re-engineering but I like it. Unless state inspection demands it, for an auto trans, I'd probably never install one....but I did.....again!
