Transfer Case Manufacturer

Does anyone know how to determine the manufacturer of a transfer case on a 1972K5? I am ordering an exhaust system from LMC and they say if I have a Rockwell transfer case, the exhaust will not fit. What are the different transfer cases in 1972 K5's?

Re: Transfer Case Manufacturer

depends on the motor. If you had a strait 6, with 3sp, then you would have a dana20.

Post up a pic of it, and we can tell you.

Re: Transfer Case Manufacturer

This page shows the difference between the NP 205 (most likely) and the NP 203 (yours would not have this unless someone swapped it in).
