i have just an am/fm/cd head unit in my trucks glovebox, and it hardly ever bounces...but I really need to fasten it down somehow. when it does usually skip, it hits the hinge, and not the soft cardboard, but it doesnt always do that. probably should also cut a hole in the back for the heatsink, it gets pretty toasty back there and I dont want anything to melt.

I don't actually have one...I have the AM Radio but I get nothing on it...cause my Brother broke it the day i bought the truck...I was just thinking (not doing anything yet) about the rough ride these old 4x4's have and thought that buying a CD player my be a bad investment on a number of levels....

I had a CD changer in my glove box, never had a skipping problem. I reinforced the bottom of the glove box with tin. The changer is now underneath the front see, again no skipping problems even with a lift kit (rougher ride). It is a Kenwood changer hooked to the Custom Autosound controller in the dash.
