TH400 kickdown switch?

The C20 Custom Camper with a 350 engine and a 400 transmission I purchased doesn't kickdown. After a little research I found out that it should have a switch that causes the kickdown. I assume based on the wiring I found the switch should be mounted somewhere by the carb. I have a red wire that comes through the firewall and goes to a female connector which is not plugged into anything. I also have an orange wire with a female connector which is in the same area which goes down to the transmission. Does anyone have a picture of the original switch hookup? Maybe GeeEmm since I think you have the same 350/400 setup in your Custom Camper. I appreciate any help.

It should mount off of the back stud on the carb like in the 327 picture. The wire is a two terminal plug, I don't have any pictures of mine but you will need the bracket and switch like the one in the 327 pic. I think the wires are green and blue or black. If I take my truck out later I will check.

If your not using the original Qjet carb you may half to fab a bracket or modify the stock bracket. When I switch carbs I made a new one using some aluminum angle stock. I think Jegs carrys something from the aftermarket that works well also.
