Getting AC to work on my 72 blazer.1

It has all the parts, it seems, but has never been completely hooked up, since I got it in 86.

Question is, any hints or do s or do nots when testing or getting this to work?

What is par for the course as far as things needed to be replaced? I am not even sure the compressor works yet. Its there.

I would suggest not running the pump until the system is charged.

Other than that make friends with someone licensed to do A/C work
