suburban only grille support
I found another unique suburban piece;
my 64 chevy sub has the shear/rubber style radiator support mounts. I was looking at the old front clip the other day , and noticed these brackets that are spot welded to the grille support. they have little rubber feet that sit just above the bumper brackets, I don't think they touch, I am thinking they are just a safety, or limiter for the amount the front can move. any one else have them? I am wondering what years they were used, and on panels too?

Re: suburban only grille support
does your 61 have the shear/rubber core support mounts, or is it a solid steel one like the trucks?

I have one of those grill supports as well but it is not on my truck, it is a spare.

Re: suburban only grille support
My '66 Fremont-built Sub has them. The cushion rests on top of the bumper brace.

Re: suburban only grille support
that talks about a single mount for the 50- 80 series models.... I am guessing school bus?, or maybe all the cowl/chassis models?
seems like they would be the only big trucks with a single unit body...
