gas tank swap????

hello I am new to the forum and I have a 1977 c10 I am working on. I was wondering if a 1969 Camaro gas tank would work and the 73-87. here is a link where they did it on the 70s style

I am doing a bed swap and figured this would be easiest because my tank is passenger side and the bed is a drivers style fill 88-98 stepside
any help is appreciated

Have you thought about a blazer tank set-up?

It holds more go juice, and doesn't hang down any further.
