Did you just spray primer over the old paint inside, what kind of primer did you use?Looks pretty good to me.The last time I even touched my cab was to move it out of the way so I could paint my frame,I gonna save my body work till last.

knuckle buster, my buddy is doing all of the paint work. He took it all down to bare metal except for the kick panels and some under the dash. This was the first coat of primer. He told me he is redoing some parts of it and putting on two more coats of primer. This cab had very little rust. The only reason I replaced the rockers was because of dents.

yellow, I got the doors from Ed at Mother Truckers. They are made by Fit-Rite. They actually do fit pretty well. They aren't as perfect as the originals but very close and no rust.

Wish my cab was in as good shape! Looks like your truck was the same color as mine, dark olive green. Are you going back with that color?

The door fit looks great. From what I can see the
rockers went on good also. It is a good feeling to
know there is no rust under there.

Krue, it's gonna be original Dark olive green with a medium olive green top and olive green interior. Some don't like the greens but I love it. I already have the seat redone and it looks like a sofa from "The Brady Bunch".

Seacrow,

I assume you're painting your truck in stages.

1) Cab
2) Bed
3) Front clip

?????????????????

I'm trying to decide on the best way to paint my truck. I was going to send the cab & bed off to the paint shop first. This way they can spay the firewall & the part of the cab hidden by the fenders. After they completed that section, I'll instal the engine & tranny before sending it back to have the fenders bolted in & aligned.

Any suggestions?

By the way, my truck is going back the same Dark Green color it originally came with too.

Thanks

ian,

I am doing it just as you said however, I already installed the engine and tranny, then I am installing the cab. Then the bed and front clip. I hope it works out ok.

Thanks for all of the nice comments guys. The cab should be painted and mounted in no more than two weeks. Then it will be a lot more fun.
