Re: 68 build

modified stock trailing arms. Cut sections out for exhaust, and flipped trailing arm mounts for better pinion angle

Re: 68 build

When i got the truck it had the stock 307 and muncie sm465 4 speed. Almost all original besides some body work and a paint job sometime in the 80's. My first truck was a 67 and i wanted another and planned to just keep it the way it was but couldnt resist cutting it up and making it my own. Found a shortbed on craigslist for a decent price and that started it. Always wanted to do air ride so i got a ride tech compressor system and firestone bags. CPP drop spindles, ride tech tubular lower a-arms and a kp components step notch. Drove it like that for a few months and got a small block 350 and m20 muncie 4 speed. Drove around with that setup til Dec 2012 and took it off the road to get the trans rebuilt and now i just got it back on the road but this time with an m21 muncie.

Re: 68 build

Looks great!! I need to come out and see it in person.. Are you just running the stock front crossmember?

I have thought about finding a long bed on the cheap and cut it for a quick driver while my big project is underway.

Yea, I still have the stock front crossmember. But I did use the ride tech control arms to get it to drop the crossmember to the ground. If you ever want to come check it out let me know. I would like to talk to you about your old short bed too
