Lighting up grades????
I recently purchased a 1977 3+3 C2500. I would like to upgrade the headlights and possibly other lighting to the most current/brightest lighting available while maintaining the factory look.....
What's out there and what would you do in my position??? I'm not looking for the cheapest way, but rather the best and brightest.... Thanking you in advance.... Great site P.S. Single headlamp configuration truck. Randy |

Re: Lighting up grades????
Look at the retrofit source.com and find some morimoto h1 projectors and then get some cheap metal backed housings and cut them to fit the h1s. Then go to ddm tunning and order a nice hid kit. The best and not the cheapest but not the most spendy either

Re: Lighting up grades????
You can for a cheap upgrade, but one that also suits future upgrades is to run your headlights power off a relay rather then through your light switch.
Supposedly Jeep Liberty I think lights fit with little modifications. |

Re: Lighting up grades????
not as bright as hid, but better than a sealed beam, cheap & easy to install. bought these at local speed shop, had to slightly enlarge the hole in the headlight bucket to fit them
the 8" lights are wired to my hi-beams & they are WAY bright! i see lmc has the round ones for about $35 |

Re: Lighting up grades????
This is one of the best modifications out there for older vehicles. Better power for the bulbs that you already have.

Re: Lighting up grades????
Thanks guys looks like I'll put the relay in and replace the sealed beams with the crystal H4 bulbs for now.
The H1 projectors will be a winter project. Randy |

Re: Lighting up grades????
You can also get HID kits on ebay for a great price and the clear replacement lense housing are a great combo.
Let us know how it turns out. Posted via Mobile Device

Re: Lighting up grades????
I bought a pair of hipo silverstar sealed beams, and a relay kit off a vendor on this site. It made a world of difference.

Re: Lighting up grades????
Start with relays. Cheap and effective. Then save up your $$ for some non-sealed beams lens and H4 bulbs.
