Hi guys,
I am new to the forum and looking for a nicely done restoration. Thought some of you might recognize this truck or know some history on it. It is scheduled to be auctioned at the RKM auction next week in Pinehurst, N.C. Also I am interested in opinions of what you guys think it may bring. I checked out the Mecum results from the week-end but not sure if N.C. trucks will bring more, less or about the same. Thanks in advance for any help you all can offer. I have learned a lot just by research on your site.

Just judging from the one picture, I would guess between 18,000 and 25,000.
I has a very good paint job. You can tell they took the bed off to paint it.

If you sign up with Meacum (give them your email) you can search all the prior auctions. Looks like it may be an all original restoration. If so and done well it will bring top dollar, I would say north of 25k, but you could get lucky since the activity, or real sales, on the 67-72 trucks have been pretty slow. I wouldn't think location would change much. Really depends more if there is a willing buyer at these price points. Let us know what ends up happening with it.

Do your homework. As you can see by the thread I have linked below, sometimes the trucks aren't as they appear.
Hopefully the person who bought the one in the link below understood that it didn't come as pictured from the factory, and simply wanted a super nice looking truck.

I went to an auction about a month ago here in Greensboro.They had a sale % of about 62-64%.Much of what I saw sell(I only went Fri of a 2 dat auction) didn't meet the sellers original reserve.Some sold due to the seller releasing the reserve.The reserve prices were not posted and you only knewwhen the screen showed it.I would suggest getting there early and looking the truck over carefully.Take a flashlight and maybe someone who knows trucks to play "Devils Advocate".Come up with a price you are comfortable paying and don't go over.I'm guessing that truck will auction on the main or "Big Money Car day".They may start with an outrageous bid $25000-30000,before dropping to where they actually get one.Auctioneers are paid on % of sale price so the auctioneers babble is designed to throw you off-balance and get you into a feeding frenzy.Don't buy into it.

Typical auction hype.
While it looks very nice it is not exactly close to correct and likely not a Cheyenne.

Looks like a nice truck. I would say it'll probably go for around 20k but you never know at auctions. Good luck!! If you buy it you should bring it to the meet down in Mooresville after the Power Tour, there will be a ton of members there. PM me if you're interested in details

This looks like a truck that was on eBay this past winter. I THINK the guy was asking around the 15,000 mark BUT the truck was originally a long bed and was cut down to a short bed. Again I am not positive but I am pretty sure.

Thanks for all the helpful advice and input. I have submitted some questions to RKM about the truck. Original spid in place, engine rebuild specifics, has it been shortened (longed originally) Will see if they come up with some answers, if not I may not even pay the bidder registration fee. Will keep you posted.
