Re: Wanting wrecked duramax
Turn it up? Lol Do you have any idea how the Duramax works? There are different generations of Duramax, the LB7, LLY, and LBZ all produced in the 99-06 model range. All came with their own specific features and problems. Some plaguing and some not so bad. None of them, however, had mechanically adjustable injection pumps. I warn you now: Do your research before trying to jump into a Duramax swap, or you WILL regret it.

Re: Wanting wrecked duramax
I meant it as injector and stuff. Not as pump adjustments. I know quite a bit about them

Re: Wanting wrecked duramax
You could easily put 600+ HP to the ground with a mostly stock motor (ie: CAI, exhaust, and a tuner). Injectors, modified pump, and any other performance mods like that are just overkill unless you're going for a drag machine. Try to avoid LB7 Duramaxes unless you like injector replacements taking ten hours. Other than that, good luck finding a wrecked Duramax, they're few and far between.

Re: Wanting wrecked duramax
Hey 82ccShorty
I drive an LMM as an every day driver and love it. The older DMax that were plegged with the faulty injecters have either been fixed through warranty or the owners footed the bill to get them fixed. It's highly unlikely you'll come across one now. Good luck in your search, as mentioned earlier. A wrecked Duramax that is for sale or on the auction block are few and far between. But if you come across one located in Ontario Ca. shoot me a PM. I'm looking for one too

Re: Wanting wrecked duramax
There were never any "faulty injectors". Injectors wear out and have to be replaced, that's a fact. The problem with LB7's is that the injectors are under the valve covers and take a ridiculous amount of time to replace.

Re: Wanting wrecked duramax
Check out Hicksville Auto Recyclers, they are in Hicksville Ohio. I am not sure if they have a web site, but they are on facebook. They have a very nice all indoor wrecking yard and Duramax trucks is all they deal with. Probably the best place to find Duramax parts in the country.
