Cool 68 GMC "The Chillest"

Hey everyone. This is my new build thread. I had one started a while back so some of you might recognize this. Its been a long cold winter and im ready to get down and dirty and get this truck FINISHED!

Last summer I started working on my truck, heres what i did. (to make a long story short)

-Pulled the bed off
-Took off hood, front fenders (inner and outer), grill, cowl, and doors.
-Took off cab.
-Blasted and painted frame.
-Cut out cab floor and blasted cab.
-Put in whole new floor pan.
-Put in new cab corners.
-Primed cab and put it back on frame.
-Sanded and primed body panels and doors (after a lot of Bondo and dent pulling.)
-Put panels and doors back on truck.
-Installed new glass and weatherstrips.
-Put a bunch of cool new stuff in it like a glovebox, dome light, radio and speakers, insulation and floor mat, and a rear view mirror (which i do have a pic of!) oh and don't forget the fuzzy dice!

So here is the truck basically as is.

Re: 68 GMC "The Chillest"

I just put the bed on today to take into my dad's shop so we can fix it up. It needs new supports, some patches and a new paint job.

Re: 68 GMC "The Chillest"

Hey thnx a lot! Eventually there will be a rebuilt engine in it. I might just rebuild the 327 bc i really like that engine. I do have a plan for a 400 hp 350 rebuild that i might end up using on the 350 from my dads 71. (below) Im not decided yet but that would be one of the last things i do in my restoration.
