The Carb Shop ?
Thinking about sending my QJet #7041211 to the Carb Shop in Calf, had it rebuilt by a local "expert" but it still floods over on to manifold almost every time I try to start it? Also when it does start ,it has a bad miss at all speeds from idle on up ? Any feed back on their QJet over haul work would be great. Thanks

Sounds like all it needs are the floats adjusted correctly. If the floats are screwed up and let too much fuel in... you will get fuel leaks on the manifold. That's probably your miss too... it will run pretty fat. Any fouled plugs?

thanks guys ! I am tired of taking it on and off again, figured it was time to let a person do it who see's and works on them all week long , not once and while ? I will do a follow up when I get it back.

Anyone know off hand if they accept complete vehicles? The Carb Shop is on my way home from work and its been running a bit odd lately. I replaced the carb to keep it on the road and that fixed many of my issues but it still feels like it needs carb work.

Regardless how good the rebuilder is, if you get dirt in the needle & seat its going to flood over.

They used to be great. A year or so ago I had heard that the owner died and the son was not so good. Hope that has changed. I had one done 15 years ago and it was outstanding.

I am running one of their Q-jet carbs right now on my burb.
It ran great for close to 15 years, but this last weekend it just now started having issues. I am thinking about going to SMI for it's replacement? http://www.smicarburetor.com/product...2/productID/18
