Crossmember swapping question

So after doing lots of reading, I seem to be coming to the conclusion that a 73-87 1/2 ton suspension and crossmember setup will bolt into a 1960-1987 Chevy truck frame. If this is true, that is really awesome.

Are there any exceptions other than needing to drill some holes once in a while?

thoughts?

Re: Crossmember swapping question

When I got my 74 C20 I was pretty close to getting a 66 C20, and I did the same research.

Apparently all you need to do is drill a couple of holes, and depending on year cut out the torsion bar mounts.

While your at it are you going to add power steering?
