Maybe some here can help...?

Thought I would try here... need some assistance with brake wiring with my LS swap, can't get brake lights to work. Not sure if this is frowned upon, but need some help, trying to get this thing to the exhaust shop, but can't chance it without brake lights... lol

Cross posting is a little no-no but I doubt its the end of the world (tho I noticed you didn't post it in the Electrical section, which might be a good place for it).

Did you try flipping the connections to the opposite pair of posts? If you have it setup wrong, your lockup won't work either.

I was going to try the electrical section, but haven't had much success there in the past... I'll try there if I can't get it figured out between these two.

I haven't tried swapping. My TC seemed to work fine, shifting and down shifting... What would I look for? I've only taken it to second gear so...

Re: Maybe some here can help...?

I meant, just try to swap them and see if the brake lights come on...you don't even have to move the truck for that (the lockup would just feel like you never really hit cruising gear, and might bog on decel if it does lockup and then fail to unlock)

With the brake pedal pressed, are you getting power to the wires at the brake light (lights/parking lights off)? What about with the parking lights on, do you get a change in voltage on the wires with the pedal depressed? (is the dang switch adjusted so you actually are engaging it, and getting lights....if its all the way backed out, you might not even be depressing the switch enough. )

Re: Maybe some here can help...?

It was actually just a blown fuse...

Not sure how it blew, probably why I didn't check it in the first place. Just a boneheaded mistake. Won't be the last I'm sure
