Fuel Filler Ideas
I know it's hard to see, I don't have a better picture handy currently, but the red circle is around the filler opening for the tank. What I'm trying to figure out is how to install a filler neck and cap. I figure it will be an under-bed filler. There is a 1" to 1-1/4" gap between the frame and where the bed floor will be. My current thought is to take my current filler neck, cut off the narrower section and connect it via a 2" ID hose. Downside is the filler will not sit verticle this way, but at a 30 degree angle or so from verticle. I don't see this as being a huge problem as long as it's not sitting higher than the bed floor. I plan on cutting a "door" in the metal bed floor I plan on using (for now) with hinges and a such. My question: are there any better ideas shy of replacing my fuel tank?
