Oil Sender Question

My oil guage stopped working so I went to check the sender and I found 2 behind the distributor. One has 2 wires to it and 1 has a single wire. Which one is for the guage?

Re: Oil Sender Question

Currently going through this myself. On my 87, the two wire sensor is the one that senses oil pressure and sends a signal to kick on the fuel pump. The single wire runs to a large bell shaped sensor and that runs to the dash gauge for your pressure read out.
