There are two different size forks one is for tie rod ends and the other is for ball joints. Just have to be careful and not rip the boot if you were reusing the ends for some reason.

Most women like the strong, silent type… Fortunately for me, my wife prefers the out-of-shape, mouthy type.

I bought 2 jaw (fixed) from oreilly's. Very nice ("OEM" brand). 3 jaw sounds like it could be frustrating.

IM trying to just get by on what I got and really need, as at first I thought it was a bust belt in a tire and spent it all on new tires.

Re: 3 jaw puller to pop out tie rod ends?

I usually just leave the nut on a few threads and hit the nut with a hammer. I just don't beat the living stink out of it unless I plan to replace the joint.

And then I waddel into the house for some lemonade...

No Gumby, I can't just let it go. Wish I could though.

Using a Ball-peen hammer is the correct way to break tapers loose, But don't hit the tie rod itself. Remove the cotter key & nut &.....Hit it HERE!
