taillights (its not the ground)
with right turn signal on my left brake light turns off.
with left turn signal the right brake light stays on as it should and the left blinks the brake light like it should. with right turn signal and running lights on and brakes on the left brake light turns off but the running light stays on. with no brakes on and right turn signal on; left brake is obviously off. I'm thinking its the switch in the column. what do you think? |

If it is something that just happened turn signal switch would be my first guess. WES

Re: taillights (its not the ground)
Sounds like it to me. I have similar problems and I finally figured out it was the switch.

Re: taillights (its not the ground)
wth ? .. sorry, I couldn't help but laugh. A friend of mine had a truck where if you turn the blinker on the horn would blow. We would just ride around town acting like we didn't hear it. People cussing, flipping him off .. etc. It was funny.
I would PM VetteVet here on the forum. He is amazing with wiring and stuff, I bet he would know what's up with it. Me, I havent a clue man. Sorry I can't help you.

Re: taillights (its not the ground)
woot!! replaced the switch and everything is working again. even rigged the horn.
Steering wheel was a non working horn grant. no springs or anything in the center. since its a POS I left the center hub off so I can use the horn. hehe. ugly but works till i replace the wheel. Now where do I get these 2 parts. The bearing is shot in this one. and the plastic has some broken spots in this one. little spacer thingy. |
