Re: Whats this Nice 65 C-20 worth?

I would say around $6K or so, maybe more if the pictures truely represent what the truck is.

Re: Whats this Nice 65 C-20 worth?

I would never sell my grandpa's truck.
I'd give it to another family member or store it for my son.
But I would never sell it.
It's a rare privilege to have your grandpa's truck.

Since its a class 1 truck its value is around 25,000. If you were to sell it you'd be lucky if you got 12,000. Three-quarter ton trucks in that good of shape are rare, but they are not as favored. I still wouldn't sell it though. Not everybody get a truck as an heirloom! Wish I did! I would keep it. But if you are determined I would give it to a family member who can use it. Take the members advice on not selling it because most of us( I think) are speaking from experience.

Best to keep it, but if you can't keep it garaged it may be better to sell. I've seen good cars ruin in the elements too many times. I can't imagine it bringing less than $8000 at auction. Maybe over $20,000 if lucky. My guess is 12-18,000 at good auction.

Re: Whats this Nice 65 C-20 worth?

The demand for 3/4 tons is quite a bit less than it is for their little 1/2 ton brothers. Though the beefier trucks cost more when new, and arguably are a better value nowadays, they don't attract anywhere near the same attention from buyers or aftermarket vendors. Popularity equates to money.
I can't give you a number on that very nice truck, but I would not compare it value-wise to a half ton in similar shape.

Re: Whats this Nice 65 C-20 worth?

If you were to have a 1/2 ton shortbed fleetside next to yours and you had them both for sale, lets say for 8,000 dollors. 95 percent of the time the 1/2 ton will sell way earlier than the three-quarter ton will. Half tons are not as rare, but are favored more because they look better in a car show and make good daily drivers and are cheaper to restore. Your truck may not be as favored, but truly has a high value in that its a part of your family history. That is high value in itself.

I don't know about the market but I'd be happy to get a 3/4 ton like that for 8K.

Not everyone wants a short WB fleet or stepside. Some like the LWB trucks too.

Agreed the 1/2 T are more favored, but there's a market for anything anymore. If was closer, I'd be all over a nice 3/4 T for a driver, and trailer tow vehicle.

I'd probably let it go for 10k if someone couldn't live without it...still though, it's tough.
