My new 87 k10 swb project
Well picked this up Saturday, it's a 87 has a 305 tbi, th400 trans 308 gears. I traded a kinda whooped 95 s10 blazer with a bad rear axle for it.
First on the list for this is fixing the rust on the cab and swapping in clean doors an fenders then maybe a 4" lift and some 33's with 373 gears Now for the pics, can any one tell me the paint code for the yellow on the trans tunnel maybe a pic of an all yellow truck too? And the new floor I've allready installed Posted via Mobile Device

Re: My new 87 k10 swb project
Well rust repair is not for me as it turns out. I'm going to now cut the rockers and lower fenders to build some sliders, new rear leafs with a shackle flip. The right shocks and some longer brake lines. 3/4's and 4:10's hopefully sometime soon too.
Here's how she looks after last weekend And with a lil trimming some 35's Posted via Mobile Device

I know how you feel dealing with the rust....it's a time consuming job. What are your long term plans for the truck? Just asking because as you know you don't see a lot of shorty 4x4's out here (I'm in Stockbridge) so if you're going to mud it then by all means replace the rockers with sliders, but if just the floor, rockers, and cab corners (clean OEM fenders are still around and fairly cheap) need replacing and the rest of the truck is decent I'd continue trying to fix the rust. It will keep it's value that way. Just throwing that out there....

Re: My new 87 k10 swb project
It's a bit rougher than the pics show, was a plow truck obviously but they also ran a back blade or salter depending so it has it's fair share of rot. I want to build an all around truck to run up to rocks and valleys, silver lake, or even a bog. But still be able to go out in the woods and load it up with wood. I don't need a rust free truck but I'm going to make it presentable in public
