wire for interior light switch route?
my interior light quit working on my 71 when I open drivers side door but still works with the pass. door. I tried to look and see if its possible to get to the back of the switch in the door jamb and can't figure it out also saw a wire going into the kick panel thru a grommet and pulled it slightly and it was not connected and pulled out, is that the wire for the back of the switch? And doesn't it just go to ground when the switch makes? Thanks for any input.

Re: wire for interior light switch route?
Yes the wire is on the back if the switch. You have to unscrew it from the door jamb. It just grounds out to make the light operate.

Re: wire for interior light switch route?
If it still works with the pass door and the headlamp switch then it is the driver's door switch or wire. Just pull the switch and take a look at it. Sometimes just pushing the switch stem in a little an rotating can restore functional contact to ground the lamp circiut.
