Drop Sindle installation help......?????

When replacing my front spindles with 2 1/2drop spindles on my 72 C10 SWB, what other preventative maintainance should I do? I already bought the upper and lower ball joints, new shocks, and new rubber bumpers, anything else?

One other question, how hard is it to install the rear shock re-locaters? Do I have to drill out the top mounts and remount the new mounts? Can I do this with the bed on?

Any advice would be great!

thanks!

So you'll know what im working with..... Next weekend it will be 2 1/2 and 4 inches lower!

The original upper shock mounts will have to be removed. I recently did this on our BURB (now with 2.5 dropped spindles in front and 4" dropped rear coils) and cut the rivets of the original rear shock mounts out with a high speed grinder wheel. After removing the rivet heads, I punched out the remaining part of the rivet(s). The ECE shock locators are then bolted to the frame...not a really difficult time and about an hours worth of grinding and cussing.....hope this helps! Good luck on your project.

I used this opportunity to clean up the cross member, and replace my control arm center bars and bushings. Good thing to - there was one that had failed.

Put new bearings in and check your brake rotors and pads.
