valve cover question..
I have a 1969 c10 ,factory small block(307 im pretty sure)
What years/motors.can I use valve covers from? I found some off a vehicle from 1967 that had a 283 I was looking to run a set of older ones that have the chevrolet script on them. Posted via Mobile Device |

valve covers with no holes are hard to fill the oil // and without a PCV system that's a whole other set of problems// very early valve covers for chevy V8 engines had different bolt patterns

The no holes in the valve cover had me apprehensive on being useable when i saw them. I may just end up repainting the factory ones. Just was gonna do somethin different, without going too flashy cuz its a pretty much stock motor. Might put an intake/carb on it, but nothing too crazy.
Being that the truck is still in its original patina'd paint/original interior i probably should repaint it the factory chevy orange even though it may be quite the contrast against the faded maroon Posted via Mobile Device |
