Where to buy aftermarket motor mounts for my BBC '68?

Now granted, I didn't look that hard. Looked at classic industries and didn't see what I wanted. I have the BBC stands and the mounts that screw in through the stand to the mount on the block using a big rubber mount (not a clamshell). Wanting to convert to urethane or something for a little more solid mount. Thanks!

YES but what about the other part that snugs up under the BBC tower? It's the big rubber chunk the big bolt goes through and then screws into that part.

I don't want to rebuy something I already have. Just want urethane rubber. Also don't want to switch to clamshell since I have everything and DO NOT want to change my geometry since the rest of the drivetrain is setup for then current application. Thanks for the suggestions though.

Re: Where to buy aftermarket motor mounts for my BBC '68?

This is harder to find than you would think it should be. I found this application .pdf on Jegs site. It shows part # 7-509 as the right for a C series truck with 396. This is also the same part # it shows for all engine combinations actually. The chart shows the mount being the same for 67-72, but we know that 72 has a different setup, so take it with a grain of salt. I would call Jeg's, Prothane or Energy Suspension and ask.

.pdf that shows application:

Re: Where to buy aftermarket motor mounts for my BBC '68?

I made mine like the performance online one's. I just cut some angle and placed it under the frame, drilled and tapped it. I then made the square piece that bolts to the crossmember. I used my pipe bender at work( I'm sure you could get a local exhaust shop to bend some pie for you) and made 120 degree bends.cut it to fit and welded it up ona mock up motor. They did not cost me a single penny.

Get in touch with Bowtie468! He
made me some thick washers and machined them to fit the larger hole in the big block towers so you can use the poly smallblock mounts! worked out great! he was great to work with!
