Ole Trusty is gone.

Well left for the Nashville Goodguys with this and no real intention to sell

But here is what we came home with!
62' Biscayne. Billet Specialty Daggers and air ride. 283 3 speed original paint

I'd trade my truck for a '62 Biscayne in good running order in a hot second!

Sweet!

Not a bad trade. Did you give the new owner your user name for this forum as well?

I think you did great. I've seen that '62 around...not sure if in person or on the web but it's cool. I hear you on the family ride.

I think I saw that car at a benefit show down in Metarie Louisianna last year. Think I got some pics on my cell phone. Nice ride. Loved the wheels on it.

Re: Ole Trusty is gone.

Oh, man. That makes me sad. I get where you're at in life, with your first kid just arriving. Been there. Your priorities and mindset change. You're doing a pretty brave thing, getting a classic that you want to use as a family car. Just be prepared that where it isn't a 4 door, it'll be a pain to get the baby seat in and out. Your wife is probably gonna start complaining, and where you traded the truck for this car, trading for a mini van is a step a way. A very slippery slope of a step away. You might wanna kindly be the one that loads the kid in and out of the car as much as possible to curb the baby blues anger fits directed at you and your new ride.

I suppose you can always get another '67 later down the road, when your kid is old enough to work on it with you

Re: Ole Trusty is gone.

the Biscayne is badass. i like the route 66 seats. that car looks super fun. i dont know what your plans are but you could clean up that 283 or drop a different power plant in it for a future project.
